Answer: Most of the beetles will be green

Explanation:

Natural selection is a phenomena of differential survival and reproduction in which the organisms which exhibit better phenotypic traits will survive and reproduce.

The given situation is an example of natural selection. The green color of the beetles will allow them to remain undetected by the predators as their color is identical to the color of the grass in grassland. Therefore, these beetles will camouflage the predators. Thus it can be said that green color is a beneficial phenotypic trait. These green beetles will survive and reproduce. Hence, the most likely change that will happen over time is that the most of the beetles will be green.

Duplication of a segment of a chromosome would result in _______. see section 16.4 (page 344) .
Svetlanka [38]
Duplications are repeated segments of genetic materials that result from unequal crossing over during meiosis or through a replication error prior to meiosis. They usually occur when homologous pairs do not line up correctly or in chromosomes with a lot of repeat sequences. Duplication of a segment of a chromosome would result in Genetic variability during evolution due to gene duplication.
