I think it’s A because electrons actually taken up by oxygen molecules to make water.

Answer:

A.) water and atp

Explanation:

The Electron Conveyor Chain constitutes, together with oxidative phosphorylation, one of the two processes that make up the respiratory chain. In this process the cofactors that were previously reduced in the Krebs cycle are oxidized, and the electrons that they yield are transported along the sequence of oxidation reduction reactions, to the final electron acceptor, which is oxygen.

It should be clarified that the order in which the electrons are transported is always the same and that in most cases the substrate will be the NADH, formed in the Krebs Cycle, which when oxidized to NAD + can rejoin that cycle. . The reduced cofactors when traveling through the different complexes that form said conveyor chain will be oxidized, releasing energy, which is transformed into a proton gradient. This energy will be used later in the oxidative phosphorylation process for ATP formation. The electron receptor is oxygen which, thanks to this, will be transformed into water.

Therefore the 2 final products of the electron transport chain are going to be ATP and water

In the citric acid cycle when an aldol addition occurs in a biological system, how do the amino acids contained in the Citrate S
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

Citrate Synthase facilitates the formation of citrate by deprotonating Acetyl CoA and by protonating the carbonyl oxygen of oxaloacetate

Explanation:

Citrate synthase is a key enzyme in the citric acid cycle that functions to catalyze the formation of citrate from oxaloacetate and acetyl-CoA: acetyl-CoA + oxaloacetate + H2O >> citrate + CoA-SH (Coenzyme A ). This enzyme contains three amino acids at its active site that work together to catalyze the conversion of acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate into citrate. This active site acts by abstracting (deprotonating) a proton from the alpha carbon of Acetyl CoA which serves as the nucleophile. Subsequently, the active site of the enzyme also protonates the carbonyl oxygen of oxaloacetate, which then suffers nucleophilic attack and thereby facilitating nucleophilic substitution reaction.
