<span>The Confederate States of America had a weaker central government than the United States, and individual states had more sovereignty and power than US States. The central government of the Confederate States handled only foreign issues or national economic issues.
But all of those power was eliminated the moment the Confederate army surrendered to the union army led by Abraham Lincoln in May  1865</span>

He promised to introduce new tax cuts and similar things that would solve the problems that the people were facing at the time. He introduced some reforms and helped the country embrace new technologies.
