I don't think this is health related but, I really have the worst problem with falling asleep, I go to bed at about 11 PM. And I
have my eyes closed for a long time, trying not to focus on anything or moving, and then I open my eyes and its 1 AM, and then I can't relax. Then I try again while worrying, and I rarely fall asleep after then, if I don't its about 3 AM, and I just about give up and I start to panic. And I usually fall asleep, my dad says I sleep but I sometimes can't tell. But that is not the case most of the time. I know that this is insomnia, but I really need advice for this issue. I have had it for 4 months, my parents just won't take me in...
You could try exercising before falling asleep to sort of exhaust yourself. If you take naps during the day avoid them bc you will have an even harder time. Pretty sure panicking doesn't help at all since you're on alert so your mind will tell your body not to fall asleep. Try meditating. Even taking a deep breathing and exhaling for 4 seconds at a time helps. If you use electronics like your phone, try avoiding them since the blue light emitted from the phone can also disrupt your phone. These are some of the things that I've read will help.
