7x-29-21x=3-(12+2x)

-14x-29=3-12-2x

-14x-29=-9-2x

-12x-29=-9

-12x=20

x=-20/12
x=-5/3

Final answer: x= -5/3

thomas started a lawn-mowing business in Florida, in which he has x lawns on his route. his costs are $6 per lawn for fertilizer
PIT_PIT [208]

Number of lawn mowing = x.

His cost per lawn for fertilizer = $6.

His cost per lawn for labor = $14.

Total cost per lawn for fertilizer and  per lawn for labor for him = 6+14 = $20.

He charges = $25 per lawn.

So, profit per lawn = 25 - 20 = $5.

Therefore, for mowing x number lawn could be represented by polynomial that represents his weekly profit.

<h3>a) P(x) = 5x.</h3>

b) For mowing 40 lawns per week total profit would be

P(40) = 5(40) = $200.

c) Number of weeks an year = 52.

Therefore,

<h3>Annual profit is 52 * 200 = $10400.</h3>

A recent survey concluded that the proportion of american teenagers who have a cell phone is 0.27. the true population proportio
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

The mean for the sampling distribution of the sample proportion is 0.29

The standard deviation for the sampling distribution of the sample proportion is 0.01435

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean for the sampling distribution of the sample proportion is always equal to the true population proportion, in this case; p = 0.29

The standard deviation for the sampling distribution of the sample proportion is calculated as;

\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n} }

Using the given values;

p = 0.29

1 - p = 0.71

n = 1000

The standard deviation becomes;

\sqrt{\frac{(0.29)(1-0.29)}{1000} } \\

The s.d becomes 0.01435

Set P = {x, 4, 6, 10, -2, x, 6, 1, x} In set P, if the value of x is 4 greater than the largest numerical value present, what is
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

The range of the data set is 16

Step-by-step explanation:

The range of a data set is given by R = Maximum - minimum, within the values of the data set. In the given set P, the highest numerical value is 10, therefore, a greater value in 4 units than the greatest numerical value present is 14, which is represented by x. With this, the maximum value of the data set is 14 and the minimum value of the data set is -2.

Range = Maximum - minimum = 14 - (-2) = 16

Conclusion: The range of the data set is 16
