The answer is most likely kilograms. I think this because kilograms is bigger than grams and grams>centigrams and Grams>milligrams and since your weight in bathroom scales are in pounds I would say it would have to be the more heavier so that's why is think its Kilograms. Also .5 of a kilogram is equal to 1.10231 pounds.

Write a pair of integers whose difference gives. (a) a negative integer. (b) zero. (c) an integer smaller than both the integer.
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

(a)5 and 8

(b)5 and 5

(c) 7 and 5

(d)6 and 2

(e)6 and -2

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)a negative integer

We consider the integers 5 and 8

Difference = 5-8 =-3

3 is a negative integer.

(b)Zero

We consider the integers 5 and 5

Difference = 5-5 =0

(c) an integer smaller than both the integer.

We consider the integers 7 and 5

Difference = 7-5 =2

2 is smaller than both integers.

(d) an integer smaller than only one of the integers.

We consider the integers 6 and 2

Difference =6-2=4

4 is smaller than only 6.

(e)an integer greater than both the integers

We consider the integers 6 and -2

Difference =6-(-2)=6+2=8

8 is greater than both 6 and -2.

PLEASE HELP ASAP AND THANKS Find x
baherus [9]

Answer:

The value of x is 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you have to make the left side into 1 fraction by making the denorminator the same :

\frac{x}{x - 2}  +  \frac{1}{5}

=  \frac{5x}{5(x - 2)}  +  \frac{x - 2}{5(x - 2)}

=  \frac{5x + x - 2}{5(x - 2)}

=  \frac{6x - 2}{5(x - 2)}

Then you have to do cross multiplication :

\frac{6x - 2}{5(x - 2)}  =  \frac{2}{x - 2}

(6x - 2)(x - 2) = 5(2)(x - 2)

6 {x}^{2}  - 12x - 2x + 4 = 10x - 20

6 {x}^{2}  - 14x + 4 = 10x - 20

6 {x}^{2}  - 14x + 4 - 10x + 20 = 0

6 {x}^{2}  - 24x + 24 = 0

6( {x}^{2}  - 4x + 4) = 0

{x}^{2} - 4x + 4 = 0

{x}^{2} - 2x - 2x + 4 = 0

x(x - 2) - 2(x - 2) = 0

(x - 2)(x - 2) = 0

x = 2
