Emotional intelligence: why it can matter more than iq

Social Studies
1 answer:

Humans are social creatures. The ability to communicate ideas is very important. For example, someone could be very smart, but be unable to convey their thoughts in a relatable manner, and thus be disregarded. Being aware of the way words affect someone else is a vital social skill. In addition to this, jobs are more likely to hire a slightly above average person with good social skills and emotional intelligence over someone with an extremely high IQ, but low sociability.
