Hello!

Let's solve this equation for y first.

-10x+y=4

Add 10x to both side.

y=10x+4

Now, let's plug in our x-values to find y.

x: -2, -1, 0, 1, 2

y:-16,-6, 4,14,24

I hope this helps!

x = -2 then y = -16

x = -1 then y = -6

x = 0 then y = 4

x = 1 then y = 14

x = 2 then y = 24

0 is the constant of 4, this functions is a pattern of when ever x increases by 1, you add 10 from y starting from 4, example:

x = 5 then y = 5 * 10 + 4 which is y = 54

y = 54 while x = 5 also satisfies the equation.

Same goes for when ever x decreases by 1, example:

x = -5 then y = -5 * 10 + 4 which is y = -46

y = -46 while x = -5 also satisfies the equation.

This question was the pattern illustrated above.

This is derived from when you take -10x+y=4 and solve for y

Simply add 10x to both sides, and you have already isolated the y variable in the equation y = 10x + 4

You can plug the values in for x and solve for y and recognize the same pattern above.

A rectangular prism has a volume of 480m3, a length of 12 m and a width of 8 m. What is the height of the garage?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Hey there!!

How do we find the volume of a rectangular prism?

<em>Ans:- In order to find the volume of the rectangular prism, we use this formula: </em>

... Length × Breadth × Height

<em>Length : 12 </em>

<em>Width : 8 </em>

<em>Height : 'H' </em>

... 12 × 8 × H = 480

... 96H = 480

... H = 480 / 96

... H = 5

<em>Hence, the height of the rectangular prism is 5 m. </em>

Hope my answer helps!!

36= 12.5% because 25%+62.5%= 87.5%

So 100%-87.5%=12.5%

87.5%-12.5%= 75%

36+36=72=25%

72+72+72+72= 288 = 100%

So the total number of pages in the magazine is 288

I understand this question is really easy but the answer I found isn't one of the options and I have spent 30 minutes on this as
Virty [35]
Rose 40%
original=100%, now it is 140%

140% of original=now
140% of orignal=350
1.4 of original=350
divide both sides by 1.4
original=250

answer is C
other way

350/140=x/100
35/14=x/100
times both sides by 1400
3500=14x
divie both sides by 14
250=x

C is answer

Write the equation for a line that has an initial value of 3 and 3/4 as it’s rate of change
frutty [35]

the slope goes by several names

• average rate of change

• rate of change

• deltaY over deltaX

• Δy over Δx

• rise over run

• gradient

• constant of proportionality

however, is the same cat wearing different costumes.

initial value of 3, namely when x = 0, y = 3, so we have the point (0 , 3) and it has a rate or slope of 3/4.

(\stackrel{x_1}{0}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{3})\qquad \qquad \stackrel{slope}{m}\implies \cfrac{3}{4} \\\\\\ \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{point-slope form}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}\implies y-\stackrel{y_1}{3}=\stackrel{m}{\cfrac{3}{4}}(x-\stackrel{x_1}{0})\implies y=\cfrac{3}{4}x+3
