Chaucer must be watchful how he composed the Canterbury Tales since he was parodying individuals from all kinds of different backgrounds, so he must make sure he was doing it in a way that would not affront anybody by and by. Chaucer's part in the Canterbury Tales is storyteller and artist explorer.

His negative legacies include the fact that he made the French kingdom to become heavily indebted and he increased taxes of the common people which eventually led to the French revolution.
