For the base of the shape all you need to do is multiply 25x25=625ft²

then for the 4 sides you need to multiply 25x32=800ft²

and because there are 4 sides you multiply 800x4=3200

so now you add 3200 with 625 (3825) and there's your area

Nice, so 4 triangles
1 square base (length=width=25)

area triangle=1/2 times base time height
the height is 32
and base is 25
4 of them so
4*1/2*25*32
2*25*32
1600 is triangles

base is 25*25=625

add to find tiatl
1600+625=2225 square feet

{y=-x+1<br> {y=4x-14<br> please help me <br> my paper is due today
Temka [501]

- x + 1 = 4x - 14 \\ - x - 4x = - 14 - 1 \\ - 5x = - 15 \\ x = 3

Substitute x = 3 in any given equations. I will do in y = - x + 1

y =  - x + 1 \\ y =  - 3 + 1 \\ y =  - 2

Therefore the answer is (3,-2)

A rectangular tank has length 4m, width 12m and height 3.5..i. If the tank is filled with water 2/3 of its capacity ,calculate t
ipn [44]

Answer:

The volume of the water in the tank is 112 m³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the rectangular prism V = L × W × H, where

  • L is its length
  • W is its width
  • H is its height

∵ A rectangular tank has a length of 4 m, a width of 12 m, and

   a height of 3.5 m

∴ L = 4 m

∴ W = 12 m

∴ H = 3.5 m

∵ V = L × W × H

∴ The volume of the tank = 4 × 12 × 3.5

∴ The volume of the tank = 168 m³

∵ The tank is filled with water  \frac{2}{3} of its capacity

→ That means the volume of the water is  \frac{2}{3}  the volume of the tank

∵ The volume of the water = \frac{2}{3} the volume of the tank

∴ The volume of the water =  \frac{2}{3} × 168

∴ The volume of the water = 112 m³

∴ The volume of the water in the tank is 112 m³
