To check what kid of sequence the function f(n) generates, we are going to evaluate the function at n=1, n=2, and n=3 to find the first three terms of our sequence. Then, we are going to check if the sequence has a constant difference, d, which means the sequence will be arithmetic, or a constant ratio r, which means the sequence will be geometric.
f(1)=2000+750(1)
f(1)=2750

f(2)=2000+750(2)
f(2)=2000+1500
f(2)=3500

f(3)=2000+750(3)
f(3)=2000+2250
f(3)=4250

So, we have the sequence 2750,3500,4250,... Lets find if it has a constant difference. To do that we are going to use the formula d=a_{n}-a_{n-1}; in other words we are going subtract the current number from the previous one:
d=4250-3000=750

d=3500-2750=750
Notice that the difference, d, is constant, so we have a arithmetic sequence.

We can conclude that the sequence the function f(n) generates is an arithmetic sequence.

A consumer products company wants to measure the effectiveness of different types of advertising media in the promotion of its p
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data:

Sales(y) __Radio (x1) __ Newspaper (x2)

973 0 40

1119 0 40

875 25 25

625 25 25

910 30 30

971 30 30

931 35 35

1177 35 35

882 40 25

982 40 25

1628 45 45

1577 45 45

1044 50 0

914 50 0

1329 55 25

1330 55 25

1405 60 30

1436 60 30

1521 65 35

1741 65 35

1866 70 40

1717 70 40

The multiple regression equation obtained for the data:

With sales, y = predicted variable

Radio, x1 = predictor variable 1

Newspaper, x2 = predictor variable 2

ŷ = 13.10812X1 + 17.07885X2 + 149.19284

Slope b1, = for every unit change in Number of radio advert, there is a 13.10812 change in sales

Slope B2, = for every unit change in Number of newspaper advert, there is a 17.07885 change in sales

b0 = intercept = 149.19284, represents the estimated amount of sales if there was no sales reported from both radio and newspaper advert.

Sales where, X1 = $20,000; X2 = $20,000

ŷ = 13.10812(20000) + 17.07885(20000) + 149.19284

y = 603888.59284

Sales (y) = $603889

Use the diagram of the right triangle above and round your answer to the nearest hundredth.
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

value of a = 6.93 m

hence , (b.)

Step-by-step explanation:

the given triangle is a right angled triangle, so

by using trigonometry.

=》

\tan(a)   = \tan(30)  =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

and we know,

=》

\tan(a)  =  \frac{a}{b}

so, by above values of tan ( a ) we get,

=》

\frac{a}{b}  =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

=》

\frac{a}{12}  =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

=》

a = \frac{12}{ \sqrt{3} }

=》

a = 4 \sqrt{3}

=

=》

a = 6.93

hence, a = 6.93 m

If the volume of the planter is 3,072 cubic inches, how tall is the planter?
andrezito [222]

\it \mathcal{V} =\dfrac{\mathcal{A}_b\cdot h}{3} \Rightarrow h = \dfrac{3\mathcal{V}}{\mathcal{A}_b}= \dfrac{3\cdot3072}{\mathcal{A}_b}\ \ \ \ \ (*)
\\\;\\ \\\;\\
\mathcal{A}_b = \dfrac{\ell^2\sqrt3}{4} = \dfrac{16^2\sqrt3}{4} =\dfrac{16\cdot16\sqrt3}{4} =4\cdot16\sqrt3=64\sqrt3\ \ \ \ (**)
\\\;\\ \\\;\\
(*),\ (**) \Rightarrow h=\dfrac{3\cdot3072}{64\sqrt3} = \dfrac{3\cdot48}{\sqrt3} = \dfrac{\sqrt3\cdot\sqrt3\cdot48}{\sqrt3} = 48\sqrt3\  inches
