ALGEBRA Closeouts on the current-year model have the dealership offering 3-year leases with only $500.00 due at signing. The les

see must have approved credit and is responsible for $0.15 per mile over 12,000 miles per year. If the total lease cost is $9,050.00, how much is each monthly lease payment?

Now, this question is a bit confusing. I hope what I did is correct though:
First, do 9050 - 500 (the amount given when signing)  = 8550
Then, do 8550 ÷ 36 (36 months = 3 years)                   = 237.50
So $237.50 should be your answer.

Hope this helps!

If I am wrong PLEASE tell me. I need to know. Because if I anything, I can ask my friend to erase this answer.

Billy has a gallon of paint. He us going to pour it into a paint tray that measures 10 inches wide, 14 inches long and 4cm deep.
erica [24]

Answer:

Tray will overflow with 10.53\ \text{inch}^3 of paint.

Step-by-step explanation:

Dimensions the tray is 10 inch by 14 inch by 4 cm

1\ \text{cm}=\dfrac{1}{2.54}\ \text{inch}

4\ \text{cm}=\dfrac{4}{2.54}\ \text{inch}

Volume the tray can hold is

10\times 14\times \dfrac{4}{2.54}\ \text{in}^3

1\ \text{inch}^3=\dfrac{1}{231}\ \text{gallon}

The volume of paint Billy has is 1\ \text{gallon}

Difference in the volume of paint and volume of tray in cubic inches is

\left(1-\dfrac{10\times14\times\dfrac{4}{2.54}}{231}\right)231=10.53\ \text{inch}^3

The tray will overflow with 10.53\ \text{inch}^3 of paint.

PLEASE HELLP 25 POINTS

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

a^6 + 4 a^5 + 5 a^4 - 5 a^2 - 4 a - 1

Discussion:

You may need to clean things up a bit but suppose that

S(1) = a-1

S(2) = a^2 -1

Since this is a geometric series, the geometric ratio is given by

S(2)/ S(1) =  (a^2 -1)/ (a-1)

               =  (a+1)(a-1)/ (a-1)

               = a+1

Conclusion:

S(2) = (a+1) S(1) = (a+1) (a-1)

S(3)  = (a+1) S(2) = (a+1) (a+1) (a-1)   = (a+1)^ (3-1) (a-1)

S(4) = (a+1) S(3)  = (a+1) * (a+1)^2 (a-1) ) = (a+1)^(4-1) (a-1)

in general.....

S(n) = (a+1)^ (n-1) (a-1)

So

S(6) = (a+1)^ (6-1) (a-1)

      =  (a-1) (a+1) ^ 5

     =  a^6 + 4 a^5 + 5 a^4 - 5 a^2 - 4 a - 1

Hope I didn't screw something here!

Thank you,

MrB

A function, f(x) = 4x + 5, has a domain 0 < x < 50. What is its range?
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

f(x) = 4x+5 ; 0 ≤ x ≤ 50

The range is the possible output values of f(x)

4(0) + 5 = 5       smallest output value in range

4(50) + 5 = 55    largest output value in range

The outputs are between 5 and 55 including the endpoints so

the range is [5, 55]
