The perimeter of the triangle = 60 cm

Solution:

The given triangle is a right triangle.

Base of the triangle = 15 cm

Hypotenuse = 25 cm

Let the unknown side of the triangle be x.

Using Pythagoras theorem,

<em>In right triangle, square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.</em>

x^2+15^2=25^2

x^2+225=625

Subtract 225 from both sides,

x^2=400

Taking square root on both sides, we get

x = 20

The unknown side of the triangle is 20 cm.

The perimeter of the triangle = Sum of the sides of the triangle

                                                 = 15 cm + 25 cm + 20 cm

                                                 = 60 cm

The perimeter of the triangle = 60 cm

riadik2000 [5.3K]

Let x = the number of nonzero digits in a randomly selected zip code. what are the possible values of x? (note: u.s. domestic zip codes have exactly five digits with at least two nonzero digits.)

Solution: The possible values of x are 2, 3, 4, 5. Hence the option 2,3,4,5 is correct.

Explanation:

We are given that U.S domestic zip-code consists of 5 digits and there zip-codes contains at least 2 non-zero digits. It means we can not see a zip-code with five zero's and a zip-code with four zero's.

Therefore, we can have zip-code containing 2 non-zero digits, 3 non-zero digits, 4 non-zero digits and 5 non-zero digits. Hence the possible values of x are 2,3,4,5

All you need to do is insert the numbers they gave you into the L and H spots.
So:

s= 0.78(1.25)^1.67

     0.93^1.17
Solve the top by putting the equation into a calculator and then the same for the bottom. After that divide the top's solution with the bottom and you should have found the answer
