Think:     1/6 gram honey  for   1/10 pan of pudding.  What if we mult. both sides by 10?

Then we have   10/6 gram honey for 10/10 (or 1) pan of pudding.  This rerduces to 5/3 gram of honey (answer)

You could also solve this by setting up and solving an equation of 2 ratios:

1/6          1/10
-----   =   ----------
  x            10/10

10/10 - 1 pan of pudding so 10 x 1/6 = 10/6 or 1 4/6 or 1 2/3 grams are needed

Suppose an object is launched from ground level directly upward at 57.4 f/s Write a function to represent the object’s height ov
Semmy [17]

Answer: p(t) = (-16 ft/s^2)*t^2 + (57.4 ft/s)*t

Step-by-step explanation:

We can suppose that the only force acting on the object is the gravitational force, then the acceleration of the object will be equal to the gravitational acceleration.

Then we can write:

a(t) = -32 ft/s^2

Where the negative sign is because this acceleration is downwards.

Now, to get the vertical velocity of the object, we need to integrate over time to get:

v(t) = (-32 ft/s^2)*t + v0

where t represents time in seconds and v0 is the constant of integration, and in this case, is the initial vertical velocity.

In this case, the initial velocity is 57.4 ft/s upwards, then the velocity equation is:

v(t) = (-32 ft/s^2)*t + 57.4 ft/s

To get the position equation we need to integrate over time again, to get:

p(t) = (1/2)*(-32 ft/s^2)*t^2 + (57.4 ft/s)*t + p0

Where p0 is the initial height of the object, as it was launched from the ground, then the initial position is p0 = 0ft.

then the position equation (that is the function that represents the height of the object as a function over time) is:

p(t) = (1/2)*(-32 ft/s^2)*t^2 + (57.4 ft/s)*t

p(t) = (-16 ft/s^2)*t^2 + (57.4 ft/s)*t

jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

Kevin will take 3 hours to make all pieces.

Step-by-step explanation:

Kevin is building a large model of a soccer ball which is made of 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons.

Time taken by Kevin to measure and cut each hexagon = 6 minutes

Therefore, time taken to make 20 hexagons = 6×20 = 120 minutes

Similarly time taken by him to measure and cut a pentagon = 5 minutes

So, time taken to make 12 pentagons = 12×5 = 60 minutes

Total time taken to measure and cut 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons = 60+120 = 180 minutes

Therefore, Kevin will take 180 minutes or 3 hours to make all pieces.

-8x+2(4x+2)=4 what does x equal
Bess [88]

Answer:

x=0

Step-by-step explanation:

-8x + 2(4x + 2) = 4

Use distributive property to get rid of the parentheses

-8x + 8x + 4 = 4

Add the like terms.

x + 4 = 4

Subtract both sides by four.

x = 0
