What they want is the measure of angle 3 + the measure of angle 4.

Since angle 3 and angle 4 together create a straight line, this means they are supplementary, or adding up to 180°. So, m<4 + m<3 = 180

24)

<3 + <4 = 180 (supplementary angles)

25)

m<1 +  m<2 = 180  (supplementary angles, sum = 180)

4x + 12 +  7x + 3 = 180

11x + 15 = 180

11x = 165

 x = 15

So

m< 1 = 4x + 12 = 4(15) + 12 = 72°

m<2 = 7x + 3 = 7(15) + 3 = 108°

m<3 = m<1 (vertical angles)

6y = 72

 y= 12

 Answer

 x = 15 ;  m< 1 = 72°,   m<2 = 108°  and  y = 12

I = 250(.05)5

I = $62.50

Bond 2:

62.5 = 350(3)r

62.5 = 1050r

r = 62.5/1050

Which values for a and b make the statement (a+6) (b-1)=0 true?
alexdok [17]

Answer:

The answers A, B, and C all work for this problem. The answer D is the only one that does not.

Step-by-step explanation:

When looking at two parenthesis being multiplied together and being equal to 0, we know that at least one of the parenthesis must be equal to 0 for it to be true. In A and C, the first parenthesis will be equal to 0 due to a = -6.

(a + 6)

(-6 + 6)

(0)

And in B, we can see that the second parenthesis would be equal to 0 due to b = 1

(b - 1)

(1 - 1)

(0)

Now we can try the D options, but will note that they do not work for either parenthesis.

(a + 6)(b - 1)

(0 + 6)(0 - 1)

(6)(-1)
