What they want is the measure of angle 3 + the measure of angle 4.

Since angle 3 and angle 4 together create a straight line, this means they are supplementary, or adding up to 180°. So, m<4 + m<3 = 180

24)

<3 + <4 = 180 (supplementary angles)

25)

m<1 +  m<2 = 180  (supplementary angles, sum = 180)

4x + 12 +  7x + 3 = 180

11x + 15 = 180

11x = 165

 x = 15

So

m< 1 = 4x + 12 = 4(15) + 12 = 72°

m<2 = 7x + 3 = 7(15) + 3 = 108°

m<3 = m<1 (vertical angles)

6y = 72

 y= 12

 Answer

 x = 15 ;  m< 1 = 72°,   m<2 = 108°  and  y = 12

Which equation best represents a trend line for the scatter plot?
kvasek [131]
Y = (-3/7)x + 4

Looking at the graph, you can see the trend line plotted. And conveniently, there are a couple of points on the trend line that are indicated. Those points being (0,4) and (7,1). The equation of a line in slope intercept form is:y = ax+b

Looking at the points available, the point (0,4) already gives us the y intercept since x is equal to 0. So our equation becomes:
y = ax + 4

Now we need to determine a which is the slope. The slope is the change in y divided by the change in x. So let's do that
(1-4)/(7-0) = -3/7

And now our equation becomes:
y = (-3/7)x + 4

And given formatting issues, the first option available is the correct one.

I have asked so many times and no one will answer. :(
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

1) \frac{1}{2^7} ; 2) 11^7

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Using the Power of a Fraction Rule (\frac{a}{b} )^x = (\frac{a^x}{b^x} ),

(\frac{1}{2} )^7 = (\frac{1^7}{2^7} ), which can just be simplified to \frac{1}{2^7}.

2) Using the Negative Exponent Rule, a^{-x}  = \frac{1}{a^{x}},

(\frac{1}{11} )^{-7} = \frac{1}{\frac{1}{11^7}}, which can be simplified to 11^7.
