if the liver doesn't produce enough protein for the itself( this is called albumin proetin" A important protein in the plasma") then your body cannot keep fluids from leaking out of your blodd vessels and then that can cause for hypoalbuminemia which can cause severe liver disease, malnutrition and kidney disease.
