Your answer is A

distribute the 8 to the 4x and 2 which gives you
=32x + 16 + 4 >_ 5
now you need to add the 16 and the 4
which leaves you with
=32x + 20 >_ 5
then subtract the 20 from both sides
then you have
=32x >_ -15
then divide 32 from both sides with gives you
x>_ -15/32 or x>_ -0.5

Answer:  B) [1.5, ∞)

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

log₈ (4x + 2) + 4 ≥ 5

log₈ (4x + 2)       ≥ 1               <em>subtract 1 from both sides</em>

       4x + 2         ≥ 8¹             <em>apply log rules</em>

       4x               ≥ 6              <em>subtracted 2 from both sides</em>

                       x ≥ 1.5            <em>divided 4 from both sides</em>

In interval notation:   [1.5, ∞)

<em>1.5 is included so use the bracket. </em>

<em>It is "greater than" so it goes to infinity (which uses a parenthesis)</em>

Ashley has a sprinkler that has several varieties of coverage. The quarter circle sprinkler head sprays water a distance of up t
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

314 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The area that will be covered by the spray of the quarter-circle sprinkler head, is equal to the area of a quarter circle with radius of 20 feet

so

The area of a quarter circle is

A=\frac{1}{4}\pi r^{2}

we have

r=20\ ft

\pi =3.14

substitute

A=\frac{1}{4}(3.14)(20)^{2}=314\ ft^2

If f(x)=4-11 what is the value of f(5)
Sveta_85 [38]

f(5) = 9

Do this by substitution:

f(x) = 4x - 11

f(5) = 4(5) - 11

f(5) = 20 - 11

f(5) = 9
