3. You have decided to wallpaper your rectangular bedroom. The dimensions are 12 feet 6 inches by 10 feet 6 inches by 8 feet 0 i
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

B. 5 rolls

Step-by-step explanation:

The areas of the room, not including the ceiling, are discriminated as follows:

Longer walls: (12.5\times8)\times2=200ft^2 (6 inches equals one foot)

Shorter walls: (10.5\times8)\times2 = 168ft ^ 2 (6 inches equals one foot)

Window area: (4\times3)\times2 = 24ft ^ 2

Door area: (7\times3) = 21ft ^ 2

Area that will be effectively covered:

Total area to wallpaper: 200 + 168 -24 -21 = 323ft ^ 2

Amount of paper needed: 323\times1.1 = 355.3ft ^ 2

30in = 24in + 6in = 2ft + 0.5ft = 2.5ft. That is, the area of a roll of paper is 2.5\times30 = 75ft ^ 2

Number of rolls needed:

\frac{355.3}{75} = 4.73 rolls

Will Mark The Brainiest that is extra points aka FULL POINTS
valentina_108 [34]
Hello!

We can solve this by using substitution

we can plug y = x - 1 into the other equation

So 2x - 3( x - 1) = -1

We can distribute the -3 to (x - 1)

2x - 3x + 3 = -1

Combine like terms

-x + 3 = -1

Subtract 3 from both sides

-x = -4

Since x is negative we can multiply both sides by -1

x = 4

We can plug x into the first equation

y = (4) - 1

y = 3

The answers are x = 4 and y = 3

Hope this helps!

What is the midpoint and distance between points P(3,5) and Q(7,5)
storchak [24]

The formula of a midpoint:

M\left(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2};\ \dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)

The formula of a distance between two points:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

We have the points P(3, 5) and Q(7, 5). Substitute:

x=\dfrac{3+7}{2}=\dfrac{10}{2}=5\\\\y=\dfrac{5+5}{2}=\dfrac{10}{2}=5

<h3>M(5, 5)</h3>

d=\sqrt{(5-5)^2+(7-3)^2}=\sqrt{0^2+4^2}=\sqrt{4^2}=4

<h3>Answer:</h3><h3>Midpoint = (5, 5)</h3><h3>Distance = 4</h3>

The sum of two number is 13 and their product is 42 then what are the two numbers
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

6 and 7

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 13

xy = 42

I just listed the two equations out and the answer just popped out. The trick to this is just thinking about two numbers that obviously both below 13 that add up to it.  6 and 7 is the solution.
