Hey mate!
You stuck?

Let's look at question 2 first.
Looking at the picture, it tells us:

AT = TX
4y - 2 = 14
4y = 14 + 2
4y = 16
y = 16 / 4
y = 4

TY = ZT
6x - 12 = 2x + 12
6x - 2x = 12 + 12
4x = 24
x = 24 / 4
x = 6

Thus, your answer is D, x=y, y=4

As for Question 7,
The only reasonable answer for Question 7 is, "Consecutive angles of a parallelogram are supplementary; m<1 + m<2= 180" It fits perfectly in Reason 4 and Statement 5. In other words, your answer is D :)

Hope this helps!

A plane flies at x miles per hour in still air. Flying with a tailwind, its speed is 485 miles per hour. Against the wind, its a
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:20mph

Step-by-step explanation:

speed of plane = x mph

Speed of plane with wind = 485 mph

So therefore, speed of wind =

485 - x

Speed of plane against wind = 445 mph

So therefore, speed of wind =

x - 445

So therefore, equating the 2 equations of speed of wind

485 - x = x - 445

Collect like terms

485 + 445 = x + x

930 = 2x

2x = 930

x = 930/2 = 465 mph

Speed of wind = x = 465mph

So we put this value on any of the equations for speed of wind

Speed of wind = x - 445 = 465 - 445

= 20 mph

So therefore, speed of wind = 20mph

The perimeter of a rectangle is 46 millimeters. The length of the rectangle can be represented by (3x+3), and its width can be r
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

The dimension of this rectangle = 2mm by 21mm

Where 2 mm = Width of the rectangle

21 mm = Length of the rectangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the perimeter of a rectangle = 2(L + W)

= 2L + 2W

The perimeter = 46 mm

L = 3x + 3

W = x - 4

P = 2L + 2W

46mm = 2(3x + 3) + 2(x - 4)

46 = 6x + 6 + 2x - 8

Collect like terms

46 +8 -6 = 6x + 2x

48 = 8x

x = 48/8

x = 6

Since the Length = 3x + 3

= 3(6) + 3

= 18 + 3

= 21mm

Since the Width = x - 4

= 6 - 4

= 2mm

Therefore, the dimension of this rectangle = 2mm by 21mm

Where 2 mm = Width of the rectangle

21 mm = Length of the rectangle.
