g(x) = 3x

g(x) = 3( x )

g( f(x) ) = 3( f(x) ) ... replace every x with f(x)

g( f(x) ) = 3( 2x-1 ) .... plug in f(x) = 2x-1

g( f(x) ) = 3( 2x) + 3( -1 ) ... distribute

g( f(x) ) = 6x - 3

You are correct in saying D is the answer

A line has this equation : y = 9/4x + 9 Write an equation for the parallel line that goes through (12, 7) .
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

y=9/4x-20

Step-by-step explanation:

Do the parallel line equation

7=9/4(12)+b

Solve for b

7=9×12÷4+b

7=27+b

subtract 27 to both sides

-20=b

Parallel lines have the same slope

y=9/4x-20

It states that the chef makes 20.5 servings, and that each serving holds 3.275 ounces, so to find the total amount of sauce the chef made you would multiply the number of servings by the volume of each serving, which is 20.5*3.275= 67.1375

There are four decimal places in the product of 67.1375 total ounces of sauce.

Tems11 [23]

Find the marginal density for Y by integrating the joint PDF over all possible values of x:

f_Y(y)=\displaystyle\int_{-\infty}^\infty f_{X,Y}(x,y)\,\mathrm dx=\int_0^y2\,\mathrm dx

\implies f_Y(y)=\begin{cases}2y&\text{for }0

Then the density of X conditioned on Y is

f_{X|Y}(x\mid y)=\dfrac{f_{X,Y}(x,y)}{f_Y(y)}=\frac1y

for 0 and undefined elsewhere.

Thus
