Answer : The mass of CO_2 is, 5.034 Kg

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the moles of CO_2.

As, 6.022\times 10^{23} molecules of CO_2 present in 1 mole of CO_2

So, 6.89\times 10^{25} molecules of CO_2 present in \frac{6.89\times 10^{25}}{6.022\times 10^{23}}=114.4 mole of CO_2

Now we have to calculate the mass of CO_2.

\text{Mass of }CO_2=\text{Moles of }CO_2\times \text{Molar mass of }CO_2

\text{Mass of }CO_2=114.4moles\times 44.01g/mole=5034.744g=5.034Kg

Therefore, the mass of CO_2 is, 5.034 Kg

<span>Avogadro's number represents the number of units in one mole of any substance. This has the value of 6.022 x 10^23 units / mole. This number can be used to convert the number of atoms or molecules into number of moles.

 </span>6.89 × 10^25 molecules CO2 ( 1 mole /  6.022 x 10^23 molecules ) ( 44.01 g / mole ) = 5035.35 g CO2 = 5.035 kg CO2

From first to last, which is the order of processes that form sedimentary rocks
kow [346]
Hey there!

Here is your answer:

<u><em>The proper answer to this question is "pressure, deposition, and  compaction".</em></u>

Reason:

<u><em>Sedimentary are formed by pressure, deposition, compaction. Which should be in one of your answer choices.</em></u>

Also....

<u><em>This would help you strike out options you don't need, igneous rocks are formed by cooling of magma or lava, and metamorphic rocks are formed by heat and pressure under the Earths surface.</em></u>

If you need anymore help feel free to ask me!

Hope this helps!

What is the mass of 3.5 moles of silicon? (to the nearest tenth)
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer: 112.2 g

Explanation:

The atomic mass of silicon is 32.065 g/mol, so 3.5 moles have a mass of (3.5)(32.065) grams, or about <u>112.2 g</u>

How many grams of magnesium (Mg, 24.30 g/mol) are in 7.43x10^22 atoms of Mg?
jeyben [28]

Given the number of Mg atoms is 7.43 * 10^{22} atoms

We know that 1 mol of any substance has Avogadro number (6.022 * 10^{23}) of formula units.

Converting number of atoms to mol:

7.43 * 10^{22} atoms * \frac{1 mol}{6.022*10^{23} atoms} = 0.123 mol Mg

Converting mol to mass of Mg:

0.123 mol * \frac{24.30 g}{1 mol} = 2.99 g Mg

Therefore mass of Mg is <u>2.99 g</u>
