This suggests that he buys products with higher prices than other similar products. But this type of market(monopolistic competition) is great though, because there are lesser suppliers than in the pure competition where products are almost within the same price ranges. In a monopolistic competition, suppliers sell their products with a justifiable high price. This is also an advantage for the buyers, they would be able to consume and be satisfied with products of high quality.

if £2000 is placed into a bank account the pays 3percent compound interest per year, how much will be in the account after 2 yea
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

£2,120.00

Step-by-step explanation:

First, converting R percent to r a decimal

r = R/100 = 3%/100 = 0.03 per year.

Solving our equation:

A = 2000(1 + (0.03 × 2)) = 2120

A = $2,120.00

The total amount accrued, principal plus interest, from simple interest on a principal of £2,000.00 at a rate of 3% per year for 2 years is £2,120.00.

Write a system of equations to describe the situation below, solve using any method, and Fill in the blanks.
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

1 haircut = 47 dollars

1 colouring = 98 dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be equal to the cost of 1 haircut.

Let y be equal to the cost of 1 colouring treatment.

1) Form equations

Equation 1: 3 haircuts + 1 colour = 239 dollars

⇒ 3x+y=239

Equation 2: 2 haircuts + 1 colour = 192 dollars

⇒ 2x+y=192

2) Solve the system of equations

Subtract equation 2 from equation 1 to cancel out y (elimination)

- 3x+y=239\\2x+y=192

⇒ 3x-2x+y-y=239-192\\x=47

Therefore, Natalie charges 47 dollars for 1 haircut.

Plug x back into one of the equations to solve for y

2(47)+y=192\\94+y=192

Subtract both sides by 94

94+y-94=192-94\\y=98

Therefore, Natalie charges 98 dollars for 1 colouring treatment.

I hope this helps!

Melanie invests $8800 in a new savings account which earns 4.6% annual interest, compounded daily. What will be the value of her
laila [671]

Answer:

it would be valued at $11,597

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are asked to calculate the value of an investment, 6 years on from now, given the annual interest , initial investment and time

Mathematically;

A = P(1+r/n)^nt

From the question, A = ?

P is initial investment = $8,800

r is rate = 4.6% = 4.6/100 = 0.046

n is number of times compounded = 365 since it is daily and we have 365 days in a year

t = time= 6 years

Now, we input these values into the equation;

A = 8,800 (1+ 0.046/365)^(365*6)

A = 8,800 (1+ 0.00012602739726)^2190

A = 8,800(1.00012602739726)^2190

A = $11,596.86
