A child has to get the sickle cell anemia gene from both of the parents. The parent can carry and pass on the gene without getting sickle cell anemia. But since the gene is in them, there is a possibility they could also get sick.
Hope this helps! :)
Two factors that influence the phenotype are: (1) the specific genetic information of the individual (its genotype), and (2) environmental influences on the expression of the individual's genetic potential.
Our blood groups are composed of two "letters", one from both parets.
People with Blood group B can have the type BB or B0 (IBi).
if they both have a blood group B0 (that is IBi) they can both give their children the "0" part of their blood group, and the child will have a 0 blood group.
The answer is
c. both are IBi (that is both are B0).
