So ur numbers are : 3,3,4,5,5,5,6,8,8

and the median (middle number) is 5 <==

because 2 dots above the 3 means u have 2 threes....and 1 dot above the 4 means there is 1 four..and so on

If x= 4y + 3 and y = -2x - 3, what is the value of xy?
Natali [406]

<u>Giv</u><u>en</u><u> that</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u><u> </u>

  • x = 4y +3

  • y = -2x -3

<u>To</u><u> </u><u>Find</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u><u> </u>

  • Value of x.y

<u>Solu</u><u>tion</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u><u> </u>

→ x = 4y + 3 equation 1st

→ y = -2x -3 equation 2nd .

Now putting the value of x from first equation to second equation.

→ y = -2(4y +3 ) -3

→ y = -8y - 6 - 3

→ y + 8y = -9

→ 9y = -9

→ y = -1

Now putting the value of y in equation first .

→ x = 4(-1) + 3

→ x = -4 + 3

→ x = -1

Now multiply and X and y.

→ x.y = -1(-1)

→ x.y = 1 .

HELP PLZ HOW DO U DO THIS
Ne4ueva [31]
Hey there! :D

There is an additional charge for each topping.

$16= 1-topping pizza with basic charge.

$20= 3-topping pizza with basic charge.

The difference is:

20-16= 4 (the difference between the one topping and three topping pizza)

4/2=2 <== the price for each topping (divide the difference of toppings)

So, 16-2= 14 <== basic charge.

Price for 5-topping pizza:

14 (basic charge)+ 2(5)
14+10
24

The 5-topping pizza is $24 dollars.

I hope this helps!

You are trying to find out how high you have to pitch a water balloon in order for it to burst when it hits the ground. You disc
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

v=-1.46 \ m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

So, as balloon reaches its maximum height i.e. 11 m , its velocity become 0.

Therefore, v_{top}=0 \ m/s.

It is given that acceleration due to gravity should be taken as , g=-9.8 \ m/s^2.(because it direction is down)

Now it is also given that upward direction is positive and downward direction is negative. So velocity should be negative.

Using equation of motion,

v_{final}^2 - v_{initial}^2 =2\times a\times displacement   .....eqn 1.

where , displacement = -11 m(because it displace towards down) and a=g=-9.8\ m/s^2

Putting these values in eqn 1 .

v_{final}^2-0^2 =2\times 9.8 \times 11

v = \pm1.46 m/s.

But as we know direction of velocity is downward.

Therefore, v=-1.46 \ m/s

where negative sign indicates its direction is downward.

C=3N+425
N is the number of leaflets so you just substitute the required number for N.

C=3 \times 2500 + 425=7500+425=7925

The cost of printing 2500 leaflets is <span>£</span>7925.

27. If three more than one-fourth of a number is
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number be n , then

\frac{1}{4} n + 3 = n - 3 ( multiply through by 4 to clear the fraction )

n + 12 = 4n - 12 ( subtract 4n from both sides )

- 3n + 12 = - 12 ( subtract 12 from both sides )

- 3n = - 24 ( divide both sides by - 3 )

n = 8

That is the number is 8
