Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Total students = 17

No. of freshmen = 3

Let number of juniors be x.

Since we are given that two students are drawn randomly .

He calculates the probability of drawing a freshman and then a junior to be \frac{9}{136}

So, probability of getting freshman on first draw = \frac{3}{17}

Since 1 student is already drawn .So, total no. of students = 16

So, probability of getting Junior on second draw = \frac{x}{16}

So, probability of getting freshman and junior = \frac{3}{17} \times \frac{x}[16}

Since we are given that  the probability of drawing a freshman and then a junior to be  \frac{9}{136}

So, \frac{9}{136}=\frac{3}{17} \times \frac{x}[16}

\frac{9}{136}=\frac{3x}{272}

\frac{9 \times 272}{136 \times 3}=x

6=x

Hence there must be 6 juniors in the class.

Convert 1.50 micrometers^2 to m^2. Show your solution.
Vadim26 [7]

Here is the solution for the problem:

<span>1m * 1m = 1m² </span><span>
<span>1m = 1,000,000µm = 1 x 10^6µm </span>
<span>1 x 10^6µm * 1 x 10^6µm = 1m² </span>
<span>1x10^12µm² = 1m² (Now, divide both sides by 1x10^12). </span>
<span>1x10^12µm² / (1 x 10^12) = 1m² / (1 x 10^12) </span>
<span>1µm² = 0∙000 000 000 001 m² (x both sides by 1.5). </span>
<span>1.5µm² = 0∙000 000 000 0015 m² </span>
1.5µm² = 1∙5x10^-12 m²</span>

So 1.50 micrometers^2 is equal to 1.5 x 10^-12 m². I am hoping that this answer has satisfied your query and it will be able to help you in your endeavor, and if you would like, feel free to ask another question.
