AlexFokin [52]

Answer:

A and D can be selected.

the language spread through western dominions by roman empires geographical and governmental extension. but thats not all, after conquering countries (german and england tribes) they had to apply rules and as it is known roman civizilation expanded and utilized both greek and latin languages however latin used to be the language of study, literature, liturgy and official services. therefor the rules and official services of conquered dominions were mostly changed and or began to be written in latin (latin is also basis of french and many western languages known to be the basis of english) and greek and to know after their dissolvence the language remained and that is why english language basis is mostly latin along with greek. and also it is good to know about Ecclesiastical Latin, which is the widely used language of church. it is a combination of vulgar and classical latin in addition to greek and hebrew elements and the purpose of this language is duscussing christian subjects...

How did the Native Americans get the name Indians?
als
Flauer [41]

Explanation:

The term Indians as applied to Native Americans, or the indigenous peoples of the Americas, is thought to have originated in a misconception on the part of the Europeans who arrived in Central America in 1492. Since Christopher Columbus began his journey to America with the intent of finding an alternate route to Southeast Asia, he is said to have assumed that the people he came into contact with upon reaching land were Indians. Despite the fact that people probably realized this mistake within hours, the name remained in use. Similarly, the islands in Central America came to be called the "West Indies", as opposed to the "East Indies" that Columbus originally had in mind as his destination.
