Which is the better buy: a coat originally priced at $360 with a 20% discount or the same coat originally marked $290 with no discount?

With the 20% discount on the $360 coat, then coat with then be at a price of $288. 
So out of the coat for $288 or $290, the better deal would be the coat for $360, + discount making it $288.
