Explain why competition between individual of the same species is more often more intense than competition between memories of d
puteri [66]
One big reason for this is because individuals of the same species often have to fight over shared resources (this means shared food and shared environment).

Because they fight over a limited amount of space and food, competition between individuals within one species can be present and very tough.

On the other hand, having members of different species also possibly means different territories and different food sources. A lion has no quarrel with dolphins, while it can have a lot of fights with lions from different prides (large group of lions).

Which phrase best reflects the relationship between natural selection and evolution? which phrase best reflects the relationship
Andru [333]
The best phrase is 'natural selection is a process that causes evolution '. Natural selection can also be referred to as selection pressures within a population that favour particular traits that enable the population to better adapt to its habitat. It's could be better camouflage, high sense of smell, and etcetera. These traits are preserved while those that cause disadvantage are diminished. This causes evolution of the population .

What are two main types of posttranscriptional modifications that take place in the mrna of eukaryotes?
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

Addition of poly A tail and and addition of 5' cap

Explanation:

In eukaryotes, many post-transcriptional modification takes place like 5' capping, polyadenylation, and splicing. In 5' capping 7-methyl guanosine is added toward the 5' end of mRNA by the action of a enzyme called guanyl transferase. This cap protects mRNA from degradation.

In polyadenylation up to 250 adenosine nucleotides are added at the 3' end of the mRNA and it is called poly-A tail. Poly A polymerase is the enzyme that is responsible for polyadenylation.

Therefore two main post transcription modifications are 5' capping and polyadenylation.
