Answer:

The correct answer is 3/4.

Explanation:

In a genetic cross if both the parents are heterozygous for the color trait then the genotype would be Rr for male parent and the same genotype would be of the female parent.

So when these two genotypes segregate and combine with each other then the F1 generation would have the genotype RR, Rr, Rr, and rr. So three of the four offspring would have dominant red allele and one would not have the dominant allele.

As a result three of the four progeny would have red color flower and one would have white color. So the fraction of red flower would be 3/4.

Describes three types of stimuli that cause plants to exhibit tropism.
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

The three stimuli that cause the plants to exhibit tropism are:

1. Touch: This stimulus triggers thigmotropism, which is the turning or bending of the plant and tendrils in response to the touch.

2. Light: This stimulus triggers phototropism. It is how the plant reacts toward the direction of the light source. In this case, the stem may bend in response to the direction of the light.

3. Gravity: This stimulus triggers phototropism gravitropism, which is responsible for the downward growth of roots into the soil.

Describe three clean coal technologies and how they can mitigate the environmental impacts of coal. Explain how they work and pr
Andrej [43]

Clean coal technology refers to a gathering of technologies being created in order to reduce the environmental influence of coal energy production and to mitigate global climate change. There are three distinct technological procedures accessible for the aim of capturing carbon as demanded by the clean coal concept:

1. Pre-combustion capture: This includes gasification of a feedstock like coal to generate gas that may be shifted to develop a mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen gas, from which the carbon dioxide can be effectively separated and captured, transported, and eventually sequestered.

2. Post-combustion capture: This is the capturing of carbon dioxide from the exhaust gases of combustion methods.

3. Oxy-fuel combustion: The fossil fuels like coal are combusted in a mixture of oxygen and recirculated flue gas, rather than in air that hugely withdraws nitrogen from the flue gas allowing capturing of low-cost and efficient carbon dioxide.

An initial example of a coal-based plant utilizing carbon capturing technology is a Swedish company Vattenfall's Schwarze Pumpe power station situated in Germany.
