We can solve this problem by determining how far the ball travels on each bounce.  Once it has hit the ground the 4th time, it will have gone:

Down, up, down, up, down, up, down.

Now, we calculate how far each of these distances are.

Since the first drop is 10 feet, the ball will go up to 5 feet.  Then it will fall 5 feet and go up 2.5 feet.  The ball will then fall 2.5 feet, and rise 1.25 feet and fall 1.25 feet.  Now, we add all these numbers up.

10 + 5 + 5 + 2.5 + 2.5 + 1.25 + 1.25 = 27.5, so the ball will have travelled 27.5 feet.

Answer:

Alternate Exterior Angles

Step-by-step explanation:

The alternate exterior angle theorem is when two different lines are corssed by a transversal. Essentially alternate exterior angles are when two different angles are on opposite sides of the transversal. In the given photo, 6 and 12 are on opposite sides of one transversal which makes them alternate exterior angles.

Expand and combine like terms.<br> (3c^4-5c^6)^2
lora16 [44]

Answer:

9c^{8} -30c^{10} + 25c^{12}

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use formula (a-b)² = a² -2ab + b².

In our example a = 3c^4 and b = 5c^6

(3c^{4} - 5c^{6})^{2} = [3c^{4} ]^{2} - 2*3c^{4} *5c^{6} + [5c^{6}]^{2}=\\=9c^{8} -30c^{10} + 25c^{12}
