The height odf a regtangular pyramid is 4 inches. The base of the pyramid measures 9 inches by 9 inches. What is the volume of t
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

V=108\ \text{inches}^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The height of a rectangular pyramid is 4 inches

The base of the pyramid measures 9 inches by 9 inches.

We need to find the volume of the rectangular pyramid. The formula for the volume of the rectangular pyramid is given by :

V=\dfrac{lbh}{3}

Substitute all the values,

V=\dfrac{4\times 9\times 9}{3}\\\\V=108\ \text{inches}^3

So, the volume of the rectangular pyramid is 108\ \text{inches}^3.

Prove, Cosec2A + cot2A = cotA
elena-s [515]

Proved

Step-by-step explanation:

Cosec2A + cot2A = cotA

On Left hand-side

Cosec2A + cot2A = \frac{1}{sin2A} +\frac{cos2A}{sin2A} \\\\\\

=\frac{1}{2sinAcosA} +\frac{2cos^2A-1}{2sinAcosA}

\frac{1+2cos^2A-1}{2sinAcosA} \\\\\\=\frac{2cos^22A}{2sinAcosA} \\\\=\frac{cosA}{sinA} \\\\\\=cotA

the melting point of mercury is about 1/4 of the melting point of krypton. the melting point of mercury is -39°C. Write and solv
vova2212 [387]

This is not the best question I've ever seen. The wording is the problem, and it's not your fault. The melting point of Krypton is about - 160 oC. It means that numerically the melting point of Krypton is 4 times lower than that of mercury.

Krypton = 4*M

M = - 39

Krypton = 4*-39

Krypton = - 156o C

Now you want to make it something like K(1/4) = - 39 which would be fine. You can't use - 1/4. If you do, your answer will come out to be + 156 which is not what you mean. If this was a multiple choice question, your answer would be the second best one.

write the equation of a line that is parallel to the line y= 2x - 7 that passes through the point parentheses (4,-15)
Eddi Din [679]
Should be y=2x-23 because it would have the same slope and you plug in the point into y=mx+b getting b=-23
