The Hindi-speaking region that includes Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana is commonly considered to constitute North India. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala are the states that make up South India. The South Indians are descended from the Dravidian race, while the North Indians are Aryan descendants. According to estimates, 72% of Indians are Aryan descended, whereas 28% are Dravidians. Their overall appearance clearly shows the racial difference. The Northern Chinese tend to be taller and wider, with narrower eyes, fairer complexion, and longer faces.
