Read the excerpt from “The Story of the Three Little Pigs.” Once upon a time there was an old Sow with three little Pigs, and as

she had not enough to keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune. The first that went off met a Man with a bundle of straw, and said to him, "Please, Man, give me that straw to build me a house"; which the Man did, and the little Pig built a house with it. Presently came along a Wolf, and knocked at the door, and said, "Little Pig, little Pig, let me come in." To which the Pig answered, "No, no, by the hair of my chinny chin chin." "Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!" said the Wolf. So he huffed and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little Pig. Who is the protagonist?

Answer:

2. Old

3. Cleft

4. Decadent

5. Tear

6. Clamorous

Explanation:

1. To annihilate is to destroy something, kill completely. To Annihilate is to get rid of something completely. For example: genocide has the purpose to annihilate (get rid of) human beings who are different, belong to a certain religion or sect. It came from the Late Latin word: "annihilatus" meaning "reduced to nothing", While obliterate means to in Latin to: "struck out", meaning "Trying something with multiple attempt but fail". Anihialate is the action of destroying completely, while obliterate is the action to attempt in annihilation, but, failing multiple times. [Have to try till you get rid of]

While decadent is someone who shows a decline in morals, the person is aware of the morals but they themselves "choose" to decline the moral and cultural norms and rules. For example: The U.S prohibits marriage of two or more people. Those who do it disobey the law.

5. Rending is to tear something into two or more pieces. Rending is not done in force, you can tear a piece of paper calmly. To tear is to rip something with force, for example: "He tore with his teeth the flesh upon her skin into two pieces".

What did scops help to preserve?
a. poetry
b. tradition
c. English
d. entertainment
Snowcat [4.5K]

The right answer is a. poetry.

Scops were professional poets that brought the epic poems to life. Playing harp, the scop would chant in a clear voice that carried over the shouts and laughter of the crowd, captivating them for hours on end with tales of courage, high drama, and tragedy. These epic poems were an oral art form: memorized and performed, not written down. Later, literacy spread through Britain, and poems were more likely to be recorded. Thus, only a fraction of Anglo-Saxon poetry has survived, in manuscripts produced centuries after the poems were originally composed.

The parts of the brain that are involved at night from eating pizza and socializing are the broca's area, responsible for producing speech, the hippocampus which plays a role in memory, the hypothalamus which controls the endocrine system and the occipital lobe which processes visual stimuli.

What is the nervous system?

It corresponds to the communication network of the organism carried out by a set of organs that capture messages and environmental stimuli and interpret them in the form of movements, sensations and findings.

Therefore, the Central Nervous System consists of the spinal cord and the brain that contains the cerebrum, cerebellum and brain stem. The cerebral cortex is therefore the layer of the brain responsible for memory, speech, thinking and the five human senses.
