Answer:

Negligent Misrepresentation

Explanation:

In contract law jurisdictions, a misrepresentation is a term that describes an untrue or misleading statement of fact, made by a party to a contract during negotiations, which affects the decision of the other party to a contract, that is, making other party agree to a contract.

There are three types of Misrepresentation, and they are:

1. Innocent Misrepresentation: a situation in which a misrepresentation made by party who had tenable grounds for believing that his false statement was true.

2. Negligent Misrepresentation: in situation in which a false statement is made to get another party to agree to the terms of a contract, when the party who made the statement had a duty to know.

3. Fraudulent Misrepresentation: an intentional false statement that is used to trick another party into an agreement.

Also, it is to be noted, that the misled party can seek for rescission of the contract, (party going to stages where they are before entering into contract) based on Misrepresentation and sometimes can be awarded damages as well.

Hence, in this case, since Jimmy did not bother to verify the statement of the previous owner that the car was making strange noises, before selling the old station wagon to Mary, which is considered as Negligent Misrepresentation. Therefore, under these circumstances, Mary could best contest the agreement on the grounds of Negligent Misrepresentation

The guinness book of records was created after an argument about what?
kozerog [31]

Our history
Guinness World Records - originally the Guinness Book of Records - the ultimate authority on record-breaking achievements, started out as an idea for a book of facts to solve arguments in pubs.

View our timeline
The idea came about in the early 1950’s when Sir Hugh Beaver (1890—1967), Managing Director of the Guinness Brewery, attended a shooting party in County Wexford.

There, he and his hosts argued about the fastest game bird in Europe, and failed to find an answer in any reference book.*

In 1954, recalling his shooting party argument, Sir Hugh had the idea for a Guinness promotion based on the idea of settling pub arguments and invited the twins Norris (1925—2004) and Ross McWhirter (1925—75) who were fact-finding researchers from Fleet Street to compile a book of facts and figures.

Guinness Superlatives was incorporated on 30 November and the office opened in two rooms in a converted gymnasium on the top floor of Ludgate House, 107 Fleet Street.

PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

correct answer is 33 feet

Explanation:

given data

A section = 1 mile by 1 mile

one acre contains = 43,560 sq ft

solution

as section is 1 mile by 1 mile

so one edge of a section will be

one edge of a section = 1 mile = 5280 feet long

here one acre contains = 43,560 sq ft

so 4 acres =  (43,560 sq ft ×  4)

4 acres = 174,240 sq. ft

contains a total of 174,240 sq. ft.

so wide = \frac{174240}{5280}

wide = 33 feet
