If the moon were farther away from the earth than it actually is how would tides be affected

Geography

This question reminds me of a scene in the movie "Bruce Almighty". In a particular scene in this film, the main character, Bruce, inherits God's powers. And to make a date night one to remember, he pulls the moon closer to earth, to make it a big, beautiful moon.
But what he sees on television the next day, is quite the tragedy. By pulling the moon closer, in another part of the world, a huge tsunami struck.

But if you were to push the moon away, however, it is already slowly moving away from us, but won't affect us until at least a couple billion years. But if it were to suddenly move away, the tides would weaken.
Hope this helps!

How can glaciers cause deposition?
Oxana [17]
Glaciers deposit their sediment when they melt. They drop and leave behind whatever was once frozen in their ice. It’s usually a mixture of particles and rocks of all sizes, called glacial till. Water from the melting ice may form lakes or other water features. Moraine is sediment deposited by a glacier. A ground moraine is a thick layer of sediments left behind by a retreating glacier. An end moraine is a low ridge of sediments deposited at the end of the glacier. It marks the greatest distance the glacier advanced.
A drumlin is a long, low hill of sediments deposited by a glacier. Drumlins often occur in groups called drumlin fields. The narrow end of each drumlin points in the direction the glacier was moving when it dropped the sediments.
An esker is a winding ridge of sand deposited by a stream of meltwater. Such streams flow underneath a retreating glacier.
A kettle lake occurs where a chunk of ice was left behind in the sediments of a retreating glacier. When the ice melted, it leaves a depression. Hope this helps ;)

Assess the reasons why different groups have contrasting views on conserving or exploiting the TRF (8 marks)
krok68 [10]

Answer:

I can't really write out an answer for you, but I can give you key factors to include!

There are companies that need wood, and this is a key point for deforestation. Chemists use certain things from the TRFs for medicine like nuts and herbs that only grow in there, there are also groups that exploit the rainforest for tourism, and they cut down trees to make room for a hotel in the forest!
