The area is multiplied by 4.

For example: If the length and width is 5 and 10, the area is equal to 50. If the length and width double to 10 and 20, the area is equal to 200. 200 is 4 times 50, so the area has been multiplied by 4.

How do you write the equation y=1x-8 in standard form?
Leni [432]
What you have is slope intercept form(best for graphing)
Ax+By=C and A must be positive
-1x+y = -8
so now A is negative so we multiply by another negative
1x-y = 8
The rest of the numbers can be negative and that is standard form.
