8/9 divided by 2/9

You cant divide fractions so you switch it to muliplication. You also need to find the reciprocal so it would be 8/9 times 9/2. You could simplify 8/9 into 4/1 and simplify 9/2 into 1/1. 4/1 times 1/1 equals 4/1 also known as 4. Your answer would be 4.

Solve for x. Leave your answer in simplest radical form.
pochemuha

Answer:

x = 4√7

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use the pythagorean theorem which is a² + b² = c²

if you plug it in, it would be...

x² + 12² = 16²

x² + 144 = 256, subtract 144 to both sides

x² = 112, square root both sides to make x by itself.

x = 4√7

If 2.5 is a root of the equation 2x^2+5x−q=0, what are the possible values of q?
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

q = -2510 +5 = \pm \sqrt{5^2-4*2*q} \\ 225 = 25-8q \\\\8q = -200 \rightarrow q = -\frac {200}8 = -25

Step-by-step explanation:

Grab the generic solution of the equation. \frac 52 = \frac{-5 \pm \sqrt{5^2-4*2*q}}{2*2}. Let's isolate the radical, and square both sides.10 +5 = \pm \sqrt{5^2-4*2*q} \\ 225 = 25-8q \\\\8q = -200 \rightarrow q = -\frac {200}8 = -25
