Civilization spreads from one region to another is by trade, travel, and warfare. People traveled carrying goods from one region to another and would tell others about new ways of growing crops, making things, and living together. They traded ideas and skills. Although trade brought people into peaceful contact with each other, civilization also spread through wars. For example, when Sargon and the Akkadians conquered Sumer, Akkadian became the language of government. But the Akkadians started to use Sumerian cuneiform writing. :)

Summarize what was the purpose of the homestead act
Grace [21]

Answer:

The Homestead Act was a law passed by Congress in 1862 that granted 160 acres of federal land to any U.S. citizen. An individual was given ownership of the land for free if that person lived on the land for five years and improved the land by building a home and producing a crop. The 1862 Homestead Act accelerated settlement of U.S. western territory by allowing any American, including freed slaves, to put in a claim for up to 160 free acres of federal land.
