What is the value of x?

Mathematics

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the 2 angles are directly across from each other they share the same agle meaning u can make them equal to each other 3x+50=6x-10

So the rule of solving this type of equation is to get the variable on one side of the equation but u have to follow the zero property 3x-3x+50=6x-3x-10

So then u get 50 = 3x-10 so use the same rule to get the 10 to the other side 50+10= 3x-10+10

Then you get 60 = 3x then just use the division property of equality

60/3=3x/3 and x = 20

A ball is kicked into the air and follows the path described by h(t)= – 4.9t^2 + 6t + 0.6, where t is the time in seconds and h
miv72 [106K]
The maximum value can be determined by taking the derivative of the function.

(dh/dt) [h(t)] = h'(x) = -9.8t + 6

Set h'(x) = 0 to find the critical point

-9.8t + 6 = 0
-9.8t = -6
t = 6/9.8

Plug the time back into the function to find the height.

h(6/9.8) = -4.9(6/9.8)^2 + 6(6/9.8) + .6
= 2.4

And I don't understand your second question.

∠A and ∠B are adjacent. The sum of their measures is 92∘. ∠A measures (2x+5)∘. ∠B is three times the size of ∠A.
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

Equation:  2x + 5 + 6x + 15 = 92

Solution:  x = 9

m∠A =23°  m∠B = 69°

Step-by-step explanation:

measure of ∠B = 3(2x + 5) = 6x + 15

The sum of the angles = 92 = 2x + 5 + 6x + 15

92 = 8x + 20

72 = 8x

x = 9

m∠A = 2(9) + 5 = 18 + 5 = 23

m∠B = 6(9) + 15 = 54 + 15 = 69

Check:  23 + 69 = 92  and 23(3) = 69
