Answer:

C) large sample size, with a large group of participants and many trials.

Step-by-step explanation:

The context of the problem is about an experimenter who designed a drug, and he claims that is the best treatment for pancreatic cancer. However, this article can be subjective, because the experimenter is talking about himself and his achievement.

So, to prevent any type of subjectivity, a certified committee has to test this drug to demonstrate what the experimenter is claiming. The best ways to demonstrate the effectiveness of the drug is by experimenting with a large size, a large groups of participants, and with many trials. Doing this, they will experiment enough to see if the drug works or doesn't, the more trials they do using a large size, the most effective or not can the drug be.

Testing with this conditions, they will observe the drug in different kind of circumstances.

On the other hand, small sample size, small participants groups, and a few trials, cannot ensure that the drug works, because it wasn't tested enough.

Therefore, the right answer is C.

Pretty sure it's a, because you only want a small sample size and few people. Also you want many trials because you need to know of it works. Was I right?

How do you know x when f(x)=2
frosja888 [35]
Say your function is
f(x) = 2x + 3
If f(x) is 2 & you want to find x, replace f(x) with 2:
2=2x+3
And solve for x:
-1=2x
x=-1/2
Hope this helps!

2. Ramone and his wife had $72,380.90 in combined gross income in 2010. They had $8,295.00 in various adjustments and deductions
MAVERICK [17]
Let x = taxable income = difference of gross income and deductions T = income tax paid = amount sent to the government Use the "filing jointly" chart on the right side. You'll use the second row of that chart since subtracting $72,380.90-$8,295.00 leads to a value between 16750 and 68000. That second row turns into this equation T=1675+0.15(x-16750) where 16750<x≤68000
