scientists determined that antarctica's average winter tempeture was -34.44c .the difference between this tempeture and antarcti
jekas [21]
Difference between average temperature and highest recorded = 49.44

Highest - Average = 49.44    Let it be H - A = 49.44

H - (-34.44) = 49.44

H + 34.44 = 49.44

H = 49.44 - 34.44 = 15

Highest recorded = 15°C.

Which number sentence can be used to determine n, the 9th number in the pattern
kvv77 [185]
Answer would be D
Because the pattern is going by 3s and it is asking for the 9th so u just multiply 9 by 3 which give you 27 and if you want to check you answer then subtract 6 by 3 gives you 3 and theater number in the pattern is 15 so you just add 15 by 3 which is 18 and repeat the same thing until you get to the 9th number

Z=32(cos(n/3) + isin(n/3)
Arturiano [62]
Recall that

\bf r[cos(\theta )+i~sin(\theta )]\quad
\begin{cases}
x=rcos(\theta )\\
y=rsin(\theta )
\end{cases}\implies (x,y)\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

therefore,

\bf Z=\stackrel{r}{32}\left[cos\left( \stackrel{\theta }{\frac{n}{3}}  \right)+i~ sin\left( \stackrel{\theta }{\frac{n}{3}}  \right)\right]\qquad
\begin{cases}
r=32\\
\theta =\frac{n}{3}
\end{cases}\implies
\begin{cases}
x=32cos\left( \frac{n}{3} \right)\\\\
y=32sin\left( \frac{n}{3} \right)
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
\left[ 32cos\left( \frac{n}{3} \right)~~,~~ 32sin\left( \frac{n}{3} \right)\right]

An item has a price tag of $35 and another tag that says 20% off what is the sale price?
Basile [38]
First you have to see what 20% of 35 is
turn 20% into a decimal by dividing by 100 and you get .20
then multiply:
.20x35=7
So 20% of $35 is $7
So now all you do is subtract:
35-7=28
So the sales price is $28

Hope this helps!!! :D
