I believe they should not be allowed to use in United States. Since the result reports are not supporting or providing clear information on how it is safe to use, we should not permit its use. Secondly, there are many health threats linked to the use of DDT in world war 2.

Moreover, we are also unfamiliar with the long term effects of these chemicals. Who knows if they are contributing to health threats.

However the associated health threats of DDT and its breakdown products are mentioned below:

- Breast & other cancers

- Male infertility

- Miscarriages & low birth weight

- Developmental delay

- Nervous system & liver damage

During upwelling, nutrient-rich water rises to the surface. How would this most likely affect the biotic components of the ecosy
hodyreva [135]

Answer: Increase in species numbers and diversity

Explanation:

Upwelling is an oceanographic phenomena in which the water from the bottom layers of the ocean usually above the seafloor get displaced and reach upto the surface layers with the effect of wind currents. The water carries away along with it the nutrients and the organic matter to the surface layers which allows the efficient growth of plant and planktonic diversity which favors the growth of sea animals like fishes and others. Hence, by this way the species diversity and numbers increases by the process of upwelling.
