The distance between him and school is 1.59 miles. Of course this distance is linear to make this problem simple. He walks with a speed of 3 miles per hour or 0.00083 mile per second.

To calculate time from distance and speed we use this formula: t=\frac{d}{s}=\frac{3mil}{0.00083mil/s}\approx3614.46sec seconds. To convert minutes we divide number of second by 60. t\div60=3614.46sec\div60\approx\boxed{60.24min}\approx\boxed{1h}.

It will take him approximately 60 minutes to get to school.

Answer:

20 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

The wording of this question is a bit strange.  Are you saying that Zeke can walk to school 3 times per hour?

If so, then the total distance he'd walk in 1 hour would be 3(1.59 miles), or

4.77 miles.  So he walks 4.77 mph.

How long to talk to school?  Divide 1.59 miles by 4.77 mph.  The result is:

1/3 hour or 20 minutes.

1.
a. your answer is correct
b. 60 and  hndreths=60.08
c. 16 and 8 thousanths=16.008
d. 60 and 8 tenths=60.8
e. your answer is correct
f.  your answer is correct

2.  16.207, 6.9, 16.19, 16.26
so the greatest is obviously one of the 16's
compare
16.207, 16.190, 16.260
obviously, the order is 16.260,16.207,16.190
then the last one is 6.9 so the order is 16.26,16.207, 16.19, 6.9 and the numbers in order is 2,4,3,1

3. I can't see the puzzle that well, but 11.88 is more than 11.50 since 0.88 is more than 0.50

4.  can't see the puzzle that mmuch
hundreths is 0.0x x is the hundrreths since exg 1/100=1 hundreths=0.01

5. remember if the number is more than five round up and if less than 4 round down so
10.5, 10.6, 10.7 10.8 10.9 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 would work

6. tenth=0.8 so the numbers could be 17.81, 17.82 17,83

7.rembmber the decimal places and line them up so again
6.081, 6.082 6.083 and so on

8. 1/2=0.5 or 0.50000

9. the greatest decimal
first find the greatest whole number
60
then find all the 60's and read from left to right the numbers after the decimal, the biggest number to the left is bigger, if they are the same, move one place to the right and count again

6% of it is 27<br> I need help. Someone please give me a explanation of how to do this.
Ghella [55]

Answer:

You take 6% of a number and the resulting number is 27.

To do this you need to change the percent into a fraction.

6% = 6/100

This is the number you need to multiply to the number you need to find, A.

6/100 A = 27

Solve for x

6 A = 27x100

A= 2700/6

A = 450

Check your answer:

6/100 (A) = 27

6/100 (450) = 27

(6x450) /100 = 27

2700 / 100 = 27

27 = 27

Question 5 of 10<br> Solve the rational equation:<br> 4x/x+5 = x/x+4
beks73 [17]

Answer:

x = 0  or  x = -\dfrac{11}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

I assume the denominators are x + 5 and x + 4 although that is not what you wrote.

\dfrac{4x}{x+5} = \dfrac{x}{x+4}

(x + 4)(x + 5)\times \dfrac{4x}{x+5} = (x + 4)(x + 5) \times \dfrac{x}{x+4}

(x + 4)(4x) = (x + 5)(x)

4x^2 + 16x = x^2 + 5x

3x^2 + 11x = 0

x(3x + 11) = 0

x = 0  or  3x + 11 = 0

x = 0  or  3x = -11

x = 0  or  x = -\dfrac{11}{3}
