Answer:

Speeds of two cars will be 52 mph and 64 mph.

Step-by-step explanation:

Two cars leave a town at same time.

Speed of one car = 12 mph faster than other.

Let the speed of other car is x.

then speed of first car = (x+12)

After 2 hours they are 232 miles apart.

Distance traveled by first car in 2 hours = 2x miles

Distance traveled by second car in 2 hours = 2( x+12 ) miles

Therefore, 2x + 2 (x+12) = 232

                   x = ( x + 12 ) =  \frac{232}{2} = 116

                  2x + 12 = 116

                  2x = 116 - 12

                 2x = 104

                  x =  \frac{104}{2}

                   x = 52 miles/hour

Speed of the first car = x + 12

                                  =  52 + 12

                                   = 64 mph

Speeds of two cars will be 52 mph and 64 mph.

An employer with 500 employees gives out gives out 120 surveys but receives only 90 surveys completed by the employees. What are
leva [86]

Answer:

Population 120 given the survey, sample 90 who answered the survey.

Step-by-step explanation:

The entire amount of employees who even received the surveys at all was 120. Because the total number was 120, 120 is the population.

Only 90 out of 120 surveys were received, so 90 is the sample because it is part of 120.

Hope this helps :)

kykrilka [37]
In order to do mean you have to add all of the numbers in the list together. then divide them by the total amount of numbers (ex. 7,9,3,2,5. you would add all of these up 7+9+3+2+5=26 then you would divide that by 5 because there are five numbers in the list.
