Find the volume of a cylinder that has a diameter of 10 inches and a height of 5 inches.

5 0

Answer:

392.5 inches^3

Step-by-step explanation:

So we know the volume of a cylinder is (pie)(r^2)(h)

1. First, find the radius which is 5 inches in this case because the diameter is 10 inches.

2. Second, you have to square the radius which would give us 25 inches^2.

3. Third, you multiply the previous answer (25 inches^2) times the height (5 inches) which would give us 125 inches^3.

4. Lastly, you multiply that answer (125 inches^3) by pie (3.141529..etc) which would give us 392.5 inches^3 ( I used 3.14 as pie) because a cylinder is a 3 dimensional figure.

You welcome :)

Is this statement true or false 5/12 = 2/6
AveGali [126]

Answer:

False

Step-by-step explanation:

6*2= 12

So to get common denominators, you would need to divide 5/12 by 2 OF multiply 2/6 by 2

For the sake of ease just multiply 2/6 by 2, this will equal 4/12 NOT 5/12

Hope this helps! :)
