What is the value of x?
ycow [4]
ANSWER

x = 10.2m

EXPLANATION

We can use the sine rule to find the value of x.

From the ∆UVW,

\frac{x}{ \sin( 30 \degree)} = \frac{19}{ \sin( < \: UWV)}

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180°.

This implies that,

< \: UWV+30 \degree+81\degree=180\degree

Group like terms and simplify to get,

< \: UWV=180\degree - 111\degree

< \: UWV=69\degree

\frac{x}{ \sin( 30 \degree)} = \frac{19}{ \sin( 69 \degree)}

x = \frac{19}{ \sin( 69 \degree)} \times \sin(30 \degree)

x = 10.2m

to the nearest tenth.

Solve for y<br> 4 <br> _ =6<br> y
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

y=2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Since y is in the denominator, we take it to the other side to make it the numerator. And 6 also changed sides which results in y=4/6. Reducing to lowest terms we get, y=2/3.

How the heck do I solve this? Please help T^T
Lelechka [254]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The quadratic is

s(t)=-4.9t^2+12t+1.8

where s(t) is the height of the ball after a certain amount of time goes by. If we are looking for how long til it hits the ground, we know 2 things from that question. First we know that the height of an object on the ground is 0, and we also know that t is the time that the ball is in the air. Because the height of the ball when it's on the ground is 0, we will set s(t) equal to 0 and factor the quadratic to solve for t, the time the ball is in the air. Throw it into the quadratic formula to find those times.

t=\frac{-12+/-\sqrt{144-4(-4.9)(1.8)} }{2(-4.9)} which will simplify to

t=\frac{-12+/-\sqrt{179.28} }{-9.8}

The 2 solutions we get from that are that

t=\frac{-12+\sqrt{179.28} }{-9.8}=-.1417906 sec and

t=\frac{-12-\sqrt{179.28} }{-9.8}=2.59077sec

Now, the 2 things in math that will never be negative are distances and time, so we will disregard the negative time and go with t = 2.59 seconds. Not sure to where you need to round.

Answer:

148.619957seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

C=2 times pi times r

1400=2 times 3.14 times r

700=3.14 times r

r=222.929936

divide radius by the rate

222.929936 divided by 1.5ft/second
