1/3, 1/4, 1/8 The answer given is not the only possible answer. You need to come up with 3 different fractions so that the LCD (least common denominator) So first, determine the prime factors of 24. 24 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 Now you want some denominators that will need all of those prime factors. For the above list of 3, 4, 8, only the 3 and 8 are important, since one of them uses the prime factor of 3 and the other uses 3 prime factors of 2, so the LCD for those 2 numbers is 24. The 3rd denominator could be almost anything that uses some combination of prime factors 2,2,2,3 such as 1/2, 1/4, 1/6, 1/12, etc. I just happened to pick 1/4. The only real restriction is that none of the denominators can use any extra prime factors. If they did. then the resulting LCD would not be equal to 24.

Let's solve for x.

x+y+z=8

Step 1: Add -y to both sides.

x+y+z+−y=8+−y

Step 2: Add -z to both sides.

x+z+−z=−y+8+−z

x=−y−z+8

An elevator travels 310 ft in 10 seconds at that speed how far can this elevator travel in 12 seconds explain your reasoning
marta [7]

Answer:

372 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

This can be solved through cross multiplication.

310ft/10sec= x/12sec

Multiply the values across from each other. (A good way to know you've done it properly is if the numbers you multiplied are in different measurements. ex: 1 value is feet, the other is seconds)

310 x 12 = 3720

Divide by the remaining value.

3720 / 10 = 372

Kitty [74]
 • The graph of the relationship between the number of pages read by Samir and the total minutes taken is displayed in the graph attached below.

 • The graph depicts that a positive relationship exists between the number of pages read and total minutes taken which means that as the number of pages read increases, so does the time taken.

 • The rate of change in time taken per number of page read is 4 which can be calculated as follows :

 • Rate of change = [(12 - 0) ÷ (3 - 0)] = 12 ÷ 3 = 4 minutes per page.
