Since it has to do with probability I would say that the probability that she would pick a specific card would be 1:52 but for two would be 2:52 which would simplify to her chances being 1 out of 26 but I could be wrong.

one-third of the people from country A claim that they are from country B, and the rest admit they are from country A. One-fourt
In-s [12.5K]

Answer: 3 : 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A represents the total population of country A and B represents the total population of country B.

According to the question,

\text{The population of country A that admit they are from B} = \frac{1}{3}\text{ of }A

⇒ \text{ The population of A that admit they are from country A }= A - \frac{1}{3} \text{ of } A

= \frac{3-1}{3} A

= \frac{2}{3} A

\text{The population of country B that admit they are from A} = \frac{1}{4}\text{ of }B

⇒ \text{ The total population that claims that they are from A }= \frac{2}{3} A +\frac{1}{4} B

But, Again according to the question,

The total population that claims that they are from A =  one half of the total population of A and B.

⇒ \frac{2}{3} A + \frac{1}{4} B= \frac{1}{2}(A+B)

⇒ \frac{2}{3} A + \frac{1}{4} B= \frac{1}{2}A+\frac{1}{2}B

⇒ \frac{2}{3} A + \frac{1}{4} B= \frac{1}{2}A+\frac{1}{2}B

⇒ \frac{2}{3} A - \frac{1}{2}A= \frac{1}{2}B-\frac{1}{4} B

⇒ \frac{4}{6} A - \frac{3}{6}A= \frac{2}{4}B-\frac{1}{4} B

⇒ \frac{1}{6} A = \frac{1}{4} B

⇒ A =\frac{6}{4}B

⇒ \frac{A}{B} =\frac{3}{2}

Chad had 30 dollars to spend on 3 gifts. He spent 9 dollars on gift A and 6
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

Chad had 15 dollars left for gift C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Chad had total amount = 30 dollars.

Amount spend on gift A = 9 dollars.

Amount spend on gift B = 6 dollars.

To Find:

Amount Left for gift C = ?

Solution:

Total Amount = 30 dollars.

Total number of gifts = 3 i .e Gift A, Gift B , Gift C.

Total amount spend for  Gift A and Gift B = Amount spend on gift A + Amount spend on gift B

∴ Total amount spend for  Gift A and Gift B = 9 + 6

∴ Total amount spend for  Gift A and Gift B = 15 dollars.

Now,

Amount Left for Gift C = Total Amount - Total amount spend for  Gift A and Gift B.

∴ Amount Left for Gift C = 30 - 15

∴ Amount Left for Gift C =  15 dollars

A phone company offers two monthly charge plans. In Plan A, the customer pays a monthly fee of $35 and then an additional 6 cent
Dafna11 [192]

Answer: Plan A will cost less than Plan B for phone use that is less than or equal to 100 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Let m be the number of minutes of phone use.

We can convert $35 and $36 to 3500 cents and 3600 cents respectively.

Then, in Plan A, it would cost 3500 + 6m and in Plan B, it would cost 3600 + 5m.

Since we want Plan A to cost less, we can set up an inequality saying:

3500 + 6m \leq 3600 + 5m

We can subtract 3500 + 5m from both sides:

m\leq 100

Therefore, Plan A will cost less than Plan B for phone use that is less than or equal to 100 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

(4x2+x+7)(8x−5)

Expand (4x2+x+7)(8x−5)

by multiplying each term in the first expression by each term in the second expression.

4x2(8x)+4x2⋅−5+(x(8x)+x⋅−5)+(7(8x)+7⋅−5)
