Fia needs 3/4 cups of brown sugar.

Now she has two types of measuring cups 1/3 measuring cup and 1/8 measuring cup.

Now let us divide 3/4 by each and see which one gives us more accurate answer.

With 1/3 measuring cup

Dividing 3/4 by 1/3, multiplying reciprocal of 1/3 that is 3/1 with 3/4

\frac{3}{4}  * \frac{3}{1}

=\frac{9}{4}

With 1/8 measuring cup

Dividing 3/4 by 1/8, multiplying reciprocal of 1/8 that is 8/1 with 3/4

\frac{3}{4}  * \frac{8}{1}

=6

Now here we can see that its easier to measure 6 full cups than fraction 9/4 cups.

So we can say that its better to use 1/8 measuring cup.

Complete the following.
Otrada [13]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) the triangle is a right angle triangle.

From the given right angle triangle,

With 67° as the reference angle,

x represents the adjacent side of the right angle triangle.

17 represents the opposite side of the right angle triangle.

To determine x, we would apply

the Tangent trigonometric ratio.

Tan θ = opposite side/adjacent side.

Therefore,

Tan 67 = 17/x

xTan 67 = 17

x = 17/Tan 67

x = 17/2.3559

x = 7.22

2) From the given right angle triangle, with 24° as the reference angle,

x represents the opposite side of the right angle triangle.

12 represents the adjacent side of the right angle triangle.

To determine x, we would apply

the Tangent trigonometric ratio.

Tan θ = opposite side/adjacent side.

Therefore,

Tan 24 = x/12

x = 12Tan 24

x = 12 × 0.4452

x = 5.34

MZRSK = x + 53, m KST = x + 109,<br> and mZRST = 156º<br><br><br> Find x.
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

-3 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are not given a midpoint, we use the Angle Addition Postulate:

156 = [x + 109] + [x + 53]

156 = 162 + 2x

-162 - 162

_______________

−6 = 2x

___ ___

2 2

−3 = x

[−3 + 53] + [−3 + 109] = 156

50 106

156 = 156 ☑

Therefore, -3 = xis a genuine statement.
