F(x)=x^2+3 has a domain of X> or equal to 3, and a range of all real numbers
I'm not too sure about the inverse but I think the equation is
sqrt(x-3)=y

The domain is the kind of numbers that can be put into the function.

The range is the kind of numbers that result from solving the function.

f(x) = x²  + 3.

Any real number, positive or negative can be substituted into the function.

But when the function is carried, out because of the x² , the result would come out as positive number greater than zero.

Therefore the domain of f(x) is any Real number, R

The range, is a set of Real numbers greater than zero.   R > 0

Hope this helps.

How to solve this geometry?<br> Step by step solution please.
Dahasolnce [82]

This is a relatively complex problem and it took me a good 20 minutes to solve, I included a sketch I made myself while im solving this problem hope it helps with the explanation. (the dotted lines are my drawings, also I labeled the points just look at my graph)

Now to find <x, we can use the exterior angles theorem a couple of times.

<x=<p+<AGE

<x=30 degrees + <AGE

Now use the theorem again to find <AGE

<AGE=<q+<BIG

Now use substitution for <q and for <AGE

<x=30 degrees+60 degrees+ <BIG

We put this to the side for now and try solve for <CHD which is not very difficult

<CHD=180-45-20=115

We can also clearly figure out <HFI using vertical angles theorem.

<HFI=<Y

Because they all form a triangle we can conclude that <y+<BIG=180 degrees-<FHI= 180-115=65 degrees

substitution again

<x+<y=30+60+<BIG+<HFI (remember <HFI = <y vertical angles theorem)

<x+<y=30+60+65 (remember how we did before these 2 angles adds up to 65?)

<x+<y=155 degrees

Now please don't hate me on this, I'm sure there is more efficient ways to explain this problem, this is just my way from trial and error.

<u>Tip for next time you are stuck on a geometry problem, don't be afraid to draw the graph again on paper and add lines to it!</u>

<u>You won't get everything perfect the first time you try but the more you practice the more comfortable you are with these problems, Hope my explanation helped!</u>

**Just a note would you mind telling me where you got this problem form, its pretty challenging :)

) If the pattern shown continues, how many black keys appear on a portable keyboard with 49 white keys? Suggestion: use equivale
andriy [413]

Answer:

35

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we see 5 black keys for every 7 white keys.

So the ratio is 5:7

If we need 49 white keys, find the amount we scale the original ratio by:

    49/7 = 7

So we are scaling by a factor of 7.

The number of black keys would be 5 * the scale of 7. = 35

So there should be 35 black keys.

Peter also earns a certain amount per hour. The table shows the amount of money, in dollars, he earns in a given number of hours
drek231 [11]
To determine how much you get per hour, divide 44 by 4, 88 by 8, and 132 by 12. Each time you get 11, so you get 11 dollars an hour.

If y = money earned and x = number of hours worked, then

y=11x
because the money you get is 11 times the amount of hours you work.

Hope this helps and I can provide further explanation if needed!
